Don’t worry! Suede and Leather are natural materials, and can survive some exposure to the wet and rain.
For Suede, leave the product to dry naturally, and then brush them with a soft suede brush, following the direction of the fibres. If excessive wet, run a damp cloth over the wet areas with clean water to remove any dirt or debris left on the suede, then leave to dry naturally and brush!
To avoid excessive exposure, ensure the suede is sprayed at least once a month, or more regularly depending if they are worn on a day to day basis. The suede can be treated with either:
- Suede and Nubuck Protector, or
- Liquiproof Premium Protector (or equivalent).
For Leather, hose or wash the leather down, making sure not to oversaturate the leather too much. Leave to dry naturally, and then apply some Neutral Leather Cream to restore a moisture/ oil content to the leather.
In particularly cold water, especially in our Explorers, the temperature difference can feel like there’s water touching the foot. Ultimately, this will disappear once the liner/ leather has heated up again (with body heat).
We've even got a video!
